“ The Hobo" Pendant
A timeless conversation piece, designed for the rebels & wild ones.
Stemming from the train hopping "hobos" of the early 20th century. The craft of altering classic coins by engraving designs that reflect an individual's character continues today. Each pendant is hand cut & etched in incredible detail on an authentic American Indian Head nickel from 1913. (Each coin is over 109 years old.) It has a 16 gauge jump ring attached to a 24" stainless ball bead necklace.
The perfect length.
Got this as a surprise from my awesome wife and it's easily one of my favorite peices. Pairs perfectly with any other necklace for a layered look, but makes a strong enough statement to stand on its own.
I’ve been searching for one of these pendants for years. Most of the ones I’ve found have been half dollars or silver dollars. Too large. This is the traditional coin used by “hobos” and it is the perfect size, in my opinion for wear in a chain. I couldn’t be any happier to have supported this small business.
